Minnetonka Review

Last week I talked about the closing of Minnesota Literature and the failure of Minnesota readers to support its best source of information on regional writing and publishing. Today, on the brighter side, I want to mention a new kid on the block, Minnetonka Review. It’s been around for a year, is published twice yearly out by Lake Minnetonka, and has quickly become the best literary magazine in the state, featuring a fine assortment of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Its contributors include well-established writers from around the country, but the review is also open to unknowns who show that they should and probably will be known. Minnetonka Review is a handsome magazine with superb production values. Gift subscriptions this season will demonstrate your good taste to all but the most bah-humbuggy recipients. Troy Elhers is the editor.
